Bethlehem University was founded in 1973 as a joint venture of the Vatican and the Brothers of the Christian Schools. It was the first registered University in the West Bank and still the only Catholic University in the Holy Land. More than 16,000 students have graduated from Bethlehem University; today there are more than 3,200 undergraduate and graduate students.
On January 26th and 27th members of International Board of Regents of Bethlehem University from: Australia, France, Israel, India, Italy, New Zealand, Palestine, Scotland, South Korea, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the United States gathered for their semi-annual board meeting.
Day one concluded with Mass celebrated by Cardinal Edwin O’Brien, Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre Jerusalem and a reception and dinner hosted by the Superior General, Br. Robert Schieler.
