Maîtresse Dominique nous a expliqué que notre école faisait partie d’un grand groupe nommé réseau avec d’autres écoles en France et avec des pays partout dans le monde. On sait maintenant pourquoi on dit La Salle Saint Louis.

A l’époque du roi soleil, un frère appelé Jean- Baptiste de La Salle aidé de Dieu, de plusieurs frères et du soutien de son amie sœur Louise a réussi à surmonter plein de difficultés avant de fonder des écoles destinées aux plus malheureux, aux pauvres et à ceux qui n’avaient plus de parents.

On a appris également que l’on fêtait cette année son anniversaire, pas l’âge de Jean-Baptiste mais les 300 ans de son œuvre à travers le monde.

Alors nous  qui sommes des « artistes en herbe », on a décidé de réaliser des productions en arts visuels en mettant à l’honneur le fondateur de nos écoles, un hommage modeste direz-vous par rapport à tous ceux qui seront menés ailleurs mais qui pour nous représente les petites pierres à l’édifice du magnifique projet d’hommage international.

Les petits artistes de la maternelle

Vendredi 30 novembre, à l’occasion du lancement du tricentenaire de la mission éducative lasallienne, les 1289 élèves du collège Saint Joseph – La Salle de Wattrelos ont réalisé une chorégraphie sur la cour de récréation.

C’est sur la chanson du tricentenaire « One heart, one commitment, one life » que les jeunes ont pu danser. Toute la communauté éducative a été sensibilisée par cet événement. Les professeurs de sports et le groupe Choré-Danse ont appris la chorégraphie à tous les élèves. Le chant a été étudié avec les professeurs de langue car il est écrit en anglais, français et espagnol ». Cette cérémonie d’ouverture s’est terminée par l’écriture du nombre 300 avec les élèves. La photo aérienne prise pour l’occasion permettra de garder un beau souvenir de cette journée !

To mark the beginning of the tercentenary since the death of Saint John-Baptiste de la Salle, La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL yesterday held an act that brought together members of the whole educational community: students, teachers, administration and services staff.

Attended by members of the Lasalliannetwork with: Br. Josep Canal, President of the Board and Assistant Visitor ofthe ARLEP district; Jordi Jover, Director of La Salle Catalunya; JosepIglesias, Delegate for Pedagogy and Innovation; and Isabel Soler, Delegate forTraining and Identity. Various authorities from Ramon Llull University werealso in attendance, represented by the university’s dean, Dr Josep MariaGarrell, as well as Dr Carlo Gallucci, Vice-Dean for International Relationsand Students.

Josep M. Santos, General Director of LaSalle URL, opened the event, praising the 300 years of the entity’s history asa global network which continues to be faithful to its mission of humane andChristian education for children and young people, while at the same timecreating a strong, creative and innovative community that gives it strength forthe future. Brother Josep Canal, Assistant Visitor of the ARLEP district, spokeof the importance of the past 300 years of history, drawing a symbolic linkbetween Brother Mateo, who has been at La Salle since the 1950s, and a young Campus student who is now seeing in the next 300 years of the institution’shistory. For his part, Josep Maria Garrell, Rector of URL, recalled that”any project that lasts 300 years must be a good project”, stressingthe shared values of Ramon Llull University and La Salle.
