Boarders’ activity: it’s a knockout!
The new term has begun and with a welcome BBQ and a full weekend of activities the boarders have enjoyed their first week back at St John’s.
Thankfully the weather cleared up nicely after the wet Friday evening, the sun was out and allowed for a full day of sport. Saturday morning saw the first of our girls’ hockey fixtures, and it was good to see some of the new boarders involved with these straight away. There was Rugby training for the Senior School boys at our Playing Fields, plus football and netball for the Junior Boarders.
On Sunday, the whole Boarding Community enjoyed ‘It’s a Knockout’: a challenge event, which involves lots of inflatable fun! The event was thankfully moved to the morning and whilst it was cloudy with a few showers, everyone got into the spirit of things and enjoyed themselves on the inflatable games. Miss Dry’s team were the eventual winners after collecting the most golden tokens in the final game of the ‘Crystal Dome’ – congratulations to them!
